AxTraxPro Version 28.0.2.7 Bio 9000 firmware update and face enroll fails

This Technical Note only apply to AxTraxPro Version 28.0.2.7

Summary:

Recently Rosslare has released AxTraxPro version 28.0.2.7, this version includes many new features which one of them is Additional readers access rights on user access rights.

We have found that in some cases when trying to update some Bio 9000 terminals firmware or trying to enroll user face template using AY-B9350 the process fails.

This Technical note allows you to apply a patch to fix this issue

How to Apply the Patch:

1. Open Task Manager in Windows.

2. Select the Services tab:

3. Right click on AxTraxPro Server Service.

4. Click “Stop”

5. Download the patch file from: http://u.pc.cd/Ht1rtalK

6. Extract the patch file on your PC to a known location (Desktop for example).

7. Locate the server installation path of AxTraxPro Server, usually under C:\Program Files (x86)\Rosslare\AxTraxProServer

8. Preserve the file: 'Rosslare.Bio.SDK9000.Network.dll’ by renaming it to ‘Rosslare.Bio.SDK9000.Network.OLD’.

9. Copy the new 'Rosslare.Bio.SDK9000.Network.dll’ file to the same path.

10. Locate the server installation path of AxTraxPro Client, usually under C:\Program Files (x86)\Rosslare\AxTraxProClient

11. Preserve the file: Rosslare.Bio.SDK9000.Network.dll’ by renaming it to ‘Rosslare.Bio.SDK9000.Network.OLD’.

12. Copy the new Rosslare.Bio.SDK9000.Network.dll’ file to the same path.

13. Preserve the file: Rosslare.Bio.UI.dll’ by renaming it to ‘Rosslare.Bio.UI.OLD’.

14. Copy the new Rosslare.Bio.UI.dll’ file to the same path.

15. Repeat steps 10-14 on any AxTraxPro client PC.

16. Go back to the Services screen.

17. Right click on AxTraxPro Server Service

18. Click “Start”

19. Now the patch is applied.
